Antigastra catalaunalis (Duponchel, 1833)

芝麻莢野螟(Antigastra catalaunalis)是草螟科(Crambidae)斑野螟亞科(Spilomelinae)的成員。本種的頭部背方為黃褐色，下唇鬚發達，由背方看明顯向前伸；胸部與腹部背方有三條連貫的黃褐色縱帶，前翅大部份為白色半透明，翅脈為黃褐色，前緣與外緣亦為黃褐色；後翅為白色半透明底，除了CuP、1A+2A、3A以外，各翅脈為黃褐色。本屬在全世界共記錄2種，臺灣目前僅記錄一種，即本種，在國外被視為嚴重的芝麻害蟲，故名為芝麻莢野螟。
A Brief Introduction:
Antigastra catalaunalis, a severely sesame pest in the world, represents the only species of Antigastra in Taiwan and shares similar wing pattern with no other crambid species.
